Celebrity Shoe Designer at “Carnival Couture”

Posted on 05. Nov, 2013 ·Comments Off

Hailing from the suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio, Ryan Haber has the Midwest charm with the East Coast mentality. His love for art and designing started at an early age while he was in his elementary school art class. “It really helped refine me as an artist. It allowed me to express myself creatively without wondering if I was doing something wrong. There were no boundaries.”

It was at the Cleveland Institute of Art where Haber finally earned his degree in interior design. Haber’s background in interior design sparked his interest in creating women’s footwear, comparing both the structure and negative space elements to that of a high-heeled shoe.

Haber began spending his downtime at Caribou Coffee in Beachwood, Ohio, sketching women’s shoes that attracted the daily crowd of fashion forward teenagers and housewives. With only a handful of amateur sketches in his portfolio, Haber was able to obtain two prestigious internships on the design teams for both Steve Madden (New York City summer of 2009) and BCBG MAXAZRIA (Los Angeles summer of 2010). It was his internship with Steve Madden that really solidified Haber’s love and passion for designing women’s shoes, crediting Steve Madden for allowing him to design openly and freely.

Since graduating from the Cleveland Institute of Art in 2011, Haber has set sail on his own to create the avant-garde women’s shoe line, Ryan Haber Collection. All of Haber’s designs start off with a blank piece of paper and turn into stunning works of art that women of all ages can flaunt and wear proudly. Each shoe is delicately hand-stitched and handcrafted in Italy with the finest of Italian leathers and elements. Haber wants his creations to be the outlet for women to feel empowered yet sexy at the same time. The brand’s tagline, “What’s Your Story?” allows women to put on Haber’s masterpieces and have their own story to tell with each strut. Haber believes that you can tell a lot about a woman by the shoes on her feet. The fashion editor in the Beverly Hills Lifestyle magazine named Haber one of the “Most Wanted” designers in 2011. His remarkable designs have landed on the feet of high-profile celebrities such as Carrie Underwood, Lisa Vanderpump, Grace Potter and Anna Paquin to name a few. Haber is the sole designer of the controversial “Vander Pump” heel for the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills superstar, Lisa Vanderpump.

The immense celebrity presence is always a plus for any designer, however, designing is not Haber’s only focus. At a young age, Haber’s parents instilled morals and values into him that will stick with him forever. Haber is a proud philanthropist who thinks it is extremely important to give back to the community. Haber has donated many shoes to organizations such as BREASTCANCER.org, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Mission Kids, Autism Speaks, In Christie’s Shoes, Magen David Adom and The Muttsquerade Ball.  “It’s important to support such great causes and it’s fulfilling to know that awareness is being brought to them.”

With the uprising of Ryan Haber Collection, Haber decided to make the move from the cozy environment of the Cleveland suburbs to hard hitting New York City in 2012. Brushing shoulders with the likes of A-list stylists, fashion magazine editors and affluential socialites, Haber has been on a mission to get Ryan Haber Collection on the minds, in the hearts and on the feet of as many people as possible.

SoffiaB- “A little luxury in the bedroom”

Posted on 30. Oct, 2013 ·Comments Off

Sophie Burkart born in the UK began her quest for the perfect robe at an early age. She searched in vain for a robe that looked stylish and felt good against her skin.  In her pursuit she bought many iterations of a dressing gown, some big, fluffy, toweling styles, some lacey, lingerie styles-adequate, but neither combining the STYLE & COMFORT she sought. Hence SoffiaB was created, with attention to detail that is perhaps hard to find on similar products, “a significant factor in my purchasing was quality. Robes that quickly began to lose their shape or seams that became unstitched were a constant irritant. This was why it made sense to produce our dressing gowns in NYC’s Garment District where they are known for their quality and attention to detail”.

By combining her love of beautiful fabrics, insisting on seductive comfort, SoffiaB brings you luxury defined in the form of their exquisite silk robes and dressing gowns. “In today’s lifestyle with the advent of lounge-wear it may seem the dressing gown or robe is unnecessary, but I think we need them more than ever.  Today’s woman has so many demands on her time and person, she needs something that reminds her she is special and unique, our limited edition robes do just that.”

All LOST HERO apparel are PRINTED IN THE USA to support local business. The printers use 100% Vegetable-Based Inks. Making Lost Hero clothing an ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY CHOICE.

“Everyone has courage and bravery inside them, until you are able to find this trait within yourself, you are a LOST HERO.”

Follow your heart to “Carnival Couture” and visit Creations by Celeste:

FOLLOW YOUR HEART

I have a confession to make, I can’t remember when my passion for vintage modern began.

It could have been at the age of five when our neighbor Ms Gilbreth, a professional seamstress, gave me buttons and beads which I quickly turned into an opera length necklace. Or maybe it’s that rhinestone brooch of my grandmothers that I used in my first vintage to vogue necklace. I do know that when I watched Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s, for the third time, I was hooked! I realized then it was all about the accessories; hats, scarves, sunglasses and statement jewels. They wonderfully and overwhelmingly made her outfit!

So I studied and collected vintage jewelry. Ten years ago, I decided to leave my career in the corporate world to follow my heart and thus began Creations by Celeste. My girlfriends were my cheerleaders, encouraging me to produce new and creative collections; many of them had to buy jewel boxes to host the plethora of their purchases.

Using colorful freshwater pearls as the base of the collection I embellish these one of a kind jewels with vintage brooches, gemstones, unique chain and international treasures.
